499X: Safe Haven > Short-Term Gains

499X CAPITAL is deliberately not a “race for the highest quarterly return” vehicle.

Our overriding priority is capital preservation first, asymmetric upside second.
We are hunting for genuine safe-haven opportunities that are explicitly designed to remain untouched, or even appreciate dramatically, when the next global crisis hits, whether that crisis originates in Brussels, Washington, or a frozen conflict that suddenly turns hot.

This means we systematically avoid assets that look brilliant in calm markets but evaporate the moment trust in the system cracks:

  • No eurozone government bonds
  • No large positions in European banks or insurers
  • No overpriced domestic German real estate funds
  • No leveraged carry trades that die the day liquidity vanishes

Instead, every euro is deployed into assets that historically either hold value or surge during flight-to-safety events and regime shifts:

  • 10 % cash in a Swiss AG account at UBS Zug, fully outside the European banking union and bail-in regime
  • Physical gold and gold-backed instruments, the ultimate non-digital, non-confiscatable store of value
  • High-cash-flow real estate in Dubai and South Africa, jurisdictions with no inheritance tax, strong property rights, and growing capital inflows from Europeans seeking Plan B
  • U.S. large-cap growth stocks and Bitcoin, the two hardest, most liquid assets in a dollar-centric world (and the biggest winners if the euro weakens sharply)
  • Active trading overlay that explicitly profits from volatility spikes and risk-off moves

We are not trying to squeeze an extra 2–3 % per year in calm times at the cost of a 50 % drawdown when the music stops.
We are willing to sacrifice a few percentage points of upside in bull markets to ensure our investors’ capital is still there, and growing, when most European portfolios are facing forced sales, capital controls, or outright confiscation.

499X CAPITAL is built for the storm, not the sunshine.
Safe haven first. Wealth creation second. Survival is the new outperformance.
